New Communication Technologies
New communication technologies have opened up new possibilities for collaboration in the workplace. As their use becomes more widespread and expected, the role they play in mediating workplace communication is also growing.
We explore the ways employees interpret and respond to the emotional content of emails, instant messages, and other electronic communication. We also study how personal attributes and attitudes affect the use employees make of different communication methods.
